This holiday gite in the Vendée is available to rent all year round, with central heating for rentals during the winter months. The property sleeps 4 comfortably, and consists of a bright living room with French doors, spacious kitchen with traditional open fire, two double bedrooms and a separate shower room and toilet.
La Paillerie is just over 3 hours' drive from St Malo; an hours' drive from La Rochelle airport; an hour and fifteen minutes from Nantes airport; in easy reach of Puy de Fou – one of France's top visitor attractions; about 25 minutes drive from the coast; and 35 minutes from Les Sables d'Olonne – home to the Vendee Globe yacht race.

Vendee Holiday Gite Accommodation details:
Bedroom 1
Double bed, oak wardrobe, two bedside tables, chest of drawers, hair dryer, full length mirror. Close the shutters, turn out the lights and sleep in the peace of typical French countryside.
Bedroom 2
2 single beds, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside table. Plenty of space for the children to get a good night's sleep after days out at the beach or in the countryside. Travel cot available on request.
Kitchen
Fully equipped kitchen with gas hob and oven, fridge freezer, microwave oven, cafetière, i-Pod dock, dining table (seats 6), dresser, traditional open fire place and hearth, fire blanket, fire extinguisher.
Living room
Sofa bed, 2 armchairs, TV for playing DVDs (not BlueRay), CD player, large coffee table, sideboard, bookshelf with games, magazines, selection of DVD, books and travel brochures – the perfect space for a game of scrabble, or cards, after an al fresco evening meal on the patio listening to the French countryside unwind around you.

The toilet is separate from the shower room.
Garden
Outside, at the back of the house, there's space to relax and rest: there is a small patio area immediately outside the kitchen door, with grassed areas along the back and side of the house, enclosed on one side by a hedge and a low stone wall along the back.
In the early evening, from April to September, this is a warm and glowing space to sit in and enjoy a pot of tea or a coffee with friends and family, even a glass or two of local wine, and unwind as the French countryside does so around you.
Gas Barbecue, sun loungers x2, patio chairs and table, and large parasol are available in the garden.
A red squirrel lives in the walnut tree in the paddock beyond the wall at the back of the garden. A woodpecker frequently visits the same tree. Buzzards often circle high above on thermals in the afternoon.
Linen and Towels
Bed linens are provided along with bath towels. Guests to provide their own beach towels.
Accessibility
The gite is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Parking
There is off-road parking for 2-3 cars opposite the gite.
Bicycles
Lockable storage is available for bicycles if required. 2 adult bikes are available on request.
